“A fast-moving narrative about the imprisoning effect of power.”

“Schiller is suddenly sexy.”

The Guardian

Schiller’s Mary Stuart is a thrilling drama about a fictitious confrontation between Queen Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. Strikingly dramatic and superbly intelligent, Schiller’s depiction of power and intrigue is as compelling – and relevant – today as it has ever been. The play has been in virtually constant production since its premiere in 1800.
